Account & Profile
How do I create an account?
After downloading the app, you can register with your email address and password. Alternatively, you can use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. During registration, enter your height, weight, goals, and activity level to receive personalised nutrition recommendations.
How do I reset my password?
Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email. You must enter the code within 10 minutes. You can request a maximum of 3 password resets per hour. After 5 incorrect code entries, you must request a new code.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete My Account. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed:
- Profile information and health data
- Meal logs and water intake
- AI chat history
- Posts, comments, and likes
- Follower relationships
- Scan history and weekly plans
What languages do you support?
Arori currently supports 7 languages:

What is Arori Pro and what does it offer?
Arori Pro provides unlimited access to all AI features:
- AI Calorie Analysis: Free users get 3 analyses per day; Pro is unlimited
- AI Chef: Recipe suggestions from fridge photos (Pro only)
- Nutrition Label Reader: Extract nutrition info from product labels (Pro only)
- Nutrition Coach: Personalised AI nutrition coaching (Pro only)
- Weekly Planner: AI-generated nutrition/fitness plans (Pro only)
What subscription plans are available?
We offer three subscription options:
- Monthly Plan — Auto-renews each month
- Yearly Plan — Auto-renews each year (discounted vs. monthly)
- Lifetime Plan — One-time payment, unlimited access
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Arori → Cancel Subscription
Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Arori → Cancel
After cancelling, you continue to have access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. Refund requests are subject to Apple or Google's refund policies.

AI Features
How does AI calorie analysis work?
Take a photo of your food, and our AI model (Google Gemini 2.5 Flash) analyses the image to estimate the food name, calories, protein, fat, and carbohydrate values. Results are estimates and may vary based on portion size and preparation method. Photos are not stored on our servers.
How accurate are AI results?
AI results are approximate and not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. For best results:
- Photograph food in a well-lit environment
- Frame the entire meal in the photo
- Edit results manually if needed
Where are my photos sent?
Food photos are sent to the Google Gemini API for nutrition analysis. Google retains this data for 55 days for safety monitoring, after which it is permanently deleted. Photos are not used for model training and are not stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Privacy & Security
Is my data safe?
Your data is stored on encrypted servers hosted in the EU/UK region (London). Passwords are protected with hash algorithms, all communication is encrypted with TLS/SSL, and database access is restricted with Row Level Security (RLS) policies. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising purposes.
What are my rights under GDPR/KVKK?
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, port, and object to the processing of your data. Submit your requests to privacy@arori.app. We respond free of charge within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Which third-party services do you use?
Supabase (database and authentication), Google Gemini (AI nutrition analysis), Railway (backend hosting), RevenueCat (subscription management), Resend (email delivery), Expo (notifications and app updates). For full details and privacy policy links, see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
Technical Issues
Camera is not working, what should I do?
- iOS: Go to Settings → Arori → Check that Camera permission is enabled
- Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Arori → Permissions → Enable Camera
- Try closing and reopening the app
- Restart your device
Notifications are not arriving, what should I do?
- iOS: Go to Settings → Notifications → Arori → Ensure Allow Notifications is enabled
- Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Arori → Enable Notifications
- Check that your meal reminders are active in Settings → Notifications within the app
- Make sure battery saver mode is not blocking notifications
The app is crashing or freezing
- Make sure the app is updated to the latest version
- Update your device's operating system (iOS 15+ / Android 7+)
- Close and reopen the app
- Restart your device
- If the issue persists, use the Report Bug feature in the app to send a report with a screenshot
