Terms of Service

1. Parties
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between Apeka Group Limited (registered in England and Wales, company no: 17105369) ("Company", "we", "us") and you ("User", "you"), the user of the Arori mobile application ("App").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
2. Service Description
Arori is an AI-powered nutrition and calorie tracking application. Services include:
- Camera-based food photography and AI nutritional analysis
- Calorie and macronutrient tracking
- Barcode and nutrition label scanning
- AI nutrition assistant (chat)
- Calorie-aware recipe suggestions from our AI chef
- Daily meal planning
- Community features (sharing, comments)
3. Account Creation and Security
- You must create an account to use the App.
- The App is designed for individuals aged 13 and over. You may not use the App if you are under 13.
- You agree to provide accurate and current account information.
- You are responsible for the security of your account. Do not share your password with others.
- You must notify us immediately upon discovering any unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable Use
When using the App, you agree to the following rules:
Permitted Use
- Personal nutrition tracking and healthy living purposes
- Sharing appropriate content in community areas
- Using AI features for their intended purposes
Prohibited Conduct
- Using the App for illegal purposes
- Attempting unauthorised access to other users' accounts
- Sharing misleading, abusive, or harmful content
- Reverse-engineering, copying, or modifying the App's source code
- Using the App for automated data scraping
- Conduct that negatively affects other users' experience
- Attempting to manipulate the AI system to generate malicious or inappropriate content
5. Intellectual Property
The App and its content (design, code, trademarks, AI models, database structure) are owned by or licensed to Apeka Group Limited. All rights reserved.
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. User Content
You retain copyright over content you upload to the App (food photos, community posts, comments). However, by uploading content you grant us the following rights:
- The right to process, store, and display content to provide the service
- The right to process content for AI analysis
- The right to display community posts to other users
You may delete your content at any time. When you delete your account, all your content is permanently removed.
6.1 Community Food Database Contributions
When you contribute to the community food database, your submissions undergo AI validation and, once approved, become available to all users. Your contributions are not associated with your username and are presented anonymously.
7. AI Service
Important information about Arori's AI features (food analysis, nutrition assistant, AI chef):
- AI results are estimates and are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
- Nutritional analyses are approximate values and may vary based on portion size, preparation method, and ingredient differences.
- Recipes and recommendations generated by AI are for general informational purposes.
- Use of AI features is subject to the data processing practices described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Health Disclaimer
Arori is not a medical device or service. Information provided by the App:
- Does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- A healthcare professional or dietitian should be consulted for diet and health decisions.
- Users with allergies, intolerances, or special dietary requirements should verify AI recommendations with a specialist.
- Calorie and nutritional values are estimates and should not be treated as exact figures.
9. Subscriptions and Payments
9.1 Freemium Model
The App offers basic features for free. Additional features available with a premium subscription ("Arori Pro"):
- AI Calorie Analysis: Free users may perform 3 analyses per day; Pro users get unlimited
- AI Chef: Pro users only
- Nutrition Label Reader: Pro users only
- Nutrition Coach Chat: Pro users only
- Weekly Planner: Pro users only
Free usage limits may be adjusted to maintain service quality.
9.2 Payments
- Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Subscription management is handled through the respective store's subscription settings.
- Prices are displayed inclusive of taxes (may vary by your region).
9.3 Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time.
- Cancellation does not affect your service until the end of the current billing period.
- Refund policies are subject to Apple App Store and Google Play Store terms.
10. Account Termination and Suspension
10.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete My Account. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
10.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account in the following circumstances:
- Violation of these Terms
- Suspected illegal activity
- Conduct harmful to other users
- Actions that threaten the security of the App
Where possible, we will notify you before suspending your account.
11. Analytics and Tracking
When using the App, the following analytics data may be collected:
- Screen views: Which screens are visited
- Feature usage: Frequency of use for features such as AI analysis, recipe suggestions, and calorie tracking
- Device information: Device type, OS version, app version
- Location (country level): Country derived from IP address
The following data is not collected through analytics:
- Content of your food photographs
- Your health conditions or medical information
- Your AI chat history
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID)
You can disable analytics data collection via Settings → Privacy → Analytics Management. Analytics is disabled by default; your consent is requested on first use. For detailed information, please review our Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available".
- No warranties are given regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI analyses.
- We are not liable for App interruptions, data loss, or disruptions in third-party services.
- The Company cannot be held responsible for health issues resulting from use of the App.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid to us in the preceding 12 months.
These limitations do not affect mandatory rights granted to you under consumer protection legislation.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will notify you through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App following changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will first be addressed through amicable resolution. If resolution cannot be reached, the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction.
For users in Turkey: Mandatory rights under consumer protection legislation are preserved.
